Welcome to the the website of the New Zealand Plant Protection Society.

Our objective is to pool and exchange information on the biology and management of weeds, pests and pathogens of plants, and beneficial organisms.

To do this, we hold an annual conference and publish books and a scientific journal. We also administer various trust funds and awards to encourage young and experienced plant protection scientists to promote their science in New Zealand and throughout the world.
